FROM 1985 TO 1990, SALES GREW BY 84.1% BY QUANTITY AND 162.5% BY VALUE (COMPARED TO 3.5 AND 20.5%, RESPECTIVELY, IN THE FROZEN-FOOD SECTOR IN GENERAL). THE SHARE OF BREAKFAST ITEMS IN OVERALL SALES OF FROZEN FOOD THUS ROSE FROM 2.9 TO 6.3% (BY VALUE). IN THE YEAR ENDING NOVEMBER 1991, SALES (BY VALUE) GREW 11.4%, AS COMPARED WITH THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS. THE GROWTH IS ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONSTANT OFFER OF NEW PRODUCTS AND TO THE FACT THAT THE NATURAL CONVENIENCE OF FROZEN FOODS IS SEEN ESPECIALLY AT BREAKFAST TIME. M. C.
