Author(s) : WINWOOD R., BENSTEAD R., EDWARDS R., LETHERMAN K. M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper includes a discussion of the reasons for current interest in fabric energy storage, FES (a system which employs a building's structural mass as a temporary thermal store), the mechanisms by which it may operate and summaries of operational experience with FES buildings and current research in this field. Some preliminary results from a computer model are presented and the plans for future work are outlined.
