Summary
A detailed methodology is presented for calculating selected refrigeration loads on an hour-by-hour basis. The load factors discussed are infiltration, product, motors and appliances, occupancy, lights, evaporator fans, defrost loads, and respiration. A method is suggested for arriving at a design load, on the basis of which equipment may be selected.
