Summary
The author derives a simple formula for calculating the chillers total energy consumption, total cooling capacity, energy consumption index and season energy efficiency ratio (SEER) during air conditioning. They obtain an integrated parameter - integrated partial load value (IPLV) for evaluating the performance of the chiller during the exclusively cooling period. They suggest principles for characterizing the chiller from angle of energy efficiency.
