EXPLAINS HOW THE SEARCH FOR NEW WORKING FLUIDS FOR ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS CAN BE FACILITATED CONSIDERABLY BY PREDETERMINING THEIR PROPERTIES USING APPROPRIATE EQUATIONS OF STATE. ILLUSTRATES HOW THE VAPOUR PRESSURE CURVE CAN BE DERIVED WITH SUFFICIENT ACCURACY FOR A FIRST ESTIMATION, USING A MODIFIED REDLICH-KWONG EQUATION WITH TWO MEASURED POINTS.
