CALCULATION OF R12 BLOWBY RATE IN COMPRESSORS.

Summary

THREE NEW ISENTROPIC EXPONENTS KTV , KPV AND KTP , ARE USED, CALCULATED BY MEANS OF SPECIFIC HEAT AND EQUATIONS OF STATE. THESE EXPONENTS ARE QUITE CONVENIENT AS SIMPLIFIED EQUATIONS ARE USED FOR IDEAL GASES AND AS THE RESULTS ARE MUCH MORE ACCURATE THAN THOSE EVALUATED BY MEANS OF K EXPONENTS. IN THIS PAPER, THE VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY OF PISTON COMPRESSORS IS CALCULATED. IT MAY BE OBSERVED THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED WITH THIS NEW METHOD, ALTHOUGH DIFFERENT FROM THOSE OBTAINED WITH THE CONVENTIONAL METHODS ARE MUCH CLOSER TO THE EFFECTIVE BEHAVIOUR OF REAL GASES.
