THE DIFFERENT EFFICIENCIES OF AN OPEN TYPE RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR (VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY ; INDICATED EFFICIENCY, REFERRED TO ISENTROPIC PROCESS ; MECHANICAL EFFICIENCY ; AND OVERALL EFFICIENCY, REFERRED TO THE SAME IDEAL PROCESS), ARE MEASURED WITH TWO REFRIGERANTS, R12 AND R22, AND VARIOUS EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS: VELOCITY, PRESSURE RATIO, SUPERHEAT OF ENTERING VAPOURS. DRAWINGS OF INDICATOR DIAGRAMS AREMADE BY THE COMPUTER AND EFFICIENCIES CALCULATED BY IT. CORRELATION IS PROPOSED TO REPRESENT THE DIFFERENT RESULTS.
