Summary

THE MOST SUITABLE ARRANGEMENT FOR A SOLAR-ASSISTED AIR HEAT PUMP IS THE PARALLEL CONNECTION. A CALCULATION METHOD OF FREE MONTHLY ENERGY FRACTIONS SUPPLIED BY THE SYSTEM IS PROPOSED. IT REQUIRES THE EVALUATION OF THE FREE FRACTION OF ENERGY SUPPLIED BOTH BY A SYSTEM CONSISTING OF AN AIR HEAT PUMP ONLY, AND BY A SYSTEM CONSISTING OF SOLAR COLLECTORS ONLY ; THE HEAT PUMP CAPACITY AND THE COLLECTING AREA MUST BE THE SAME AS THOSE OF A COMBINED SYSTEM.
