Summary
Based on a summary and analysis of frosting and its influence on the performance of air source heat pumps, the authors define the index of frost quantity and the relative frost quantity. They provide statistics on weather data for heat pumps in China, and the related values of the mean loss coefficient of frosting-defrosting which are recommended as design reference data.
