Summary
FINNED TUBE BANKS ARE USED IN VARIOUS WAYS IN AIR TREATMENT. FOR EACH APPLICATION, CORRECT DIMENSIONING ASSUMES THAT THE VARIOUS OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS CAN BE PREDICTED. FROM THE LITERATURE, THIS PREDICTION REMAINS INACCURATE, AS IT CANNOT ALLOW FOR THE EXACT CHARACTERISTICS OF SOME HEAT EXCHANGER SURFACES. THE CANUT METHOD (CALCULATION BY THE METHOD OF TRANSFER UNIT NUMBERS), MADE UP OF A SET OF COMPUTER PROGRAMS SOLVES THIS PROBLEM BY INTEGRATING TEST RESULTS.
