Summary

STATES THAT BOTH THEORY AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE OF NOISE GENERATION IN A RADIAL FAN INDICATE THE EXISTENCE OF A RELATION-SHIP BETWEEN THE NOISE PRODUCED AND THE ENERGY LOSS OCCURRING IN THE FLOW THROUGH THE IMPELLER AND THE FAN HOUSING. NOTES THAT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE NOISE CAPACITY AND THE FLOW LOSS CAPACITY HAS NOT YET BEEN CLEARLY DETERMINED, AND PROVIDES AN EXPLANATION OF THIS PHENOMENON.
