Summary
This article describes a detailed calculation method used to determine the annual electrical energy consumption for the transport of the air volume flow in air-conditioning systems. Concerning this point, a simplified procedure is derived for a future part entitled "Transport of air volume flow" in VDI 2067. This tool is available to the planner, thus enabling comparison of different variants of systems in the design phase.
