Summary
A single element malfunctioning in a central chilled water distribution system can lead to failure to attain design capacity, decrease in supplied water and wasted energy. This article shows how to avoid these failures, while spelling out the responsibilities of designers and owners. This article received recognition when it first appeared in the November 1974 issue of ASHRAE Journal.
