Summary

The results of a complex of calculated theoretical and experimental investigations to create a basic refrigerating centrifugal compressor with an integral high-frequency electric drive at 100 KW capacity, the rotor of which rotates in gasodynamic leaf-type bearings at frequency up to 31 500 rotation per minute, are presented. The compressor intended for operation in conditioning mode being included in a water cooler (chiller) at 350 kW capacity on R134a at 40 °C temperature condensation, is a basic compressor for refrigeration compressors of dimension-type series at average efficiency.
