CFC recovery.
La récupération des CFC.
Author(s) : SAUER F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The CFC phase-out deadlines are presented, but they will be changed drastically. New installations will have to use new products. Existing plants will eventually use a new refrigerant or a recovered CFC. Plant management should be improved. As the agreement banning gas purging is not yet published, only economic measures may make product recovery attractive. Gas recovery techniques have been developed: a handbook written and a summary given in the appendices. The quantities of various CFCs used for refrigeration and air conditioning in France is given in a table. J.L.
