Summary
The only experience in this area is from developed countries, where recovered fluids make up about 6% of the quantities currently sold. After noting the value of recovery, the author tells what must be done in Africa in terms of training, equipment, treatment of recovered fluids, financial incentives and in raising awareness among professionals and final users. He proposes that a recovery network be set up with a central recycling unit in each African capital.
