Summary

The paper summarizes the conclusions of tests carried out by the Energy Center of the "Ecole des Mines de Paris" on 11 CFC recovery equipments, of which 10 are currently available on the French market and 1 prototype. The requirements of the AFNOR standard E35.421 (Recovery -Recycling -Regeneration) are stated as well as the test methods and procedures (flow, end of extraction, material retention, autoextraction, contamination transfer, security, etc). The tests carried out are then discussed by stressing the following points: what a user manual for constructors should contain, the device's operating principles (in liquid and gaseous phase), importance of linking flexible tubing, restoring initial cleanliness, oil extraction, contamination transfer.
