Summary
In the year 2000 the balance sheet for the world reefer fleet was again negative, both in number of units and reefer capacity. With only thirteen units with 6.17 million cubic feet underdeck capacity joining the fleet and 28 units with 10.52 million cubic feet scrapped or lost, the world reefer fleet comprised 1000 ships with 338 million cubic feet of reefer capacity.
