Author(s) : GATCHILOV T. S., IVANOVA V. S.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

The peculiarities of frosting of finned surface air coolers have been investigated, especially the variations of the heat exchange coefficient on the air side, and the overall coefficient of heat-exchange, as a function of the duration of use during frosting. The influence of the parameter of the air has been shown. The quantity of air and the thickness of ice have been measured for different working conditions. The frost affects the fan characteristics and this affects the amount of air handled; the effects have been investigated as functions of the working conditions.
