Summary
A comparative study was carried out on 4 arrangements of steel finned evaporators using ammonia; the comparison was on: fin thickness, axial spacing of the tubes and the use of rippled or flat rings, the fin spacing being constant. The results are given and show that the global heat transfer coefficient is not similar for all types of coils. J.L.
