Summary

Considering the irregular work schedule of household air conditioning system, according to the theory of regeneration, develops a regenerative household ice storage air conditioning system. Analyses the influence of factors including ice thickness, initial evaporation temperature and hold-over coil diameter on the cold storage process. Tests the performances of the developed air conditioning system on conditions of cold storage mode and refrigeration-cold storage mode, respectively, and compares the test results with those of traditional air conditioning systems. The results show that the regenerator contributes to the solution to anti-frosting and anti-freezing of outside suction tube. The corresponding suction temperature of compressor is increased approximately. by 25°C, and the evaporating temperature is increased approximately by 3°C by applying regenerator. The resultant COP is improved by 3.6%. The system with refrigeration-cold storage mode solves the problem of unfixed service time for household air conditioning, which plays an important role in peak load shifting strategy.
