Summary
The article explains the ice storage system and compares it with normal air conditioning systems, giving its advantages, such as decreasing chiller unit capacity, lowering peak demand for electric power and reducing expenditure on electric power. According to the authors, the system is simple and reliable since it uses a bimetal cored ice ball featuring quick melting and high discharge capacity. An analysis of the data obtained shows that its operation is satisfactory and economical.
