Summary

Characteristics of 12 strains of B. cereus capable of developing at temperatures below 7 deg C. Different properties of spores and vegetative cells were studied, including growth characteristics at 7 deg C, the D-value of spores at 90 deg C, germination of spores at 7 deg C in milk and the BHI medium (heart-liver infusion), effect of nisin on growth and production of enterotoxin.
