Summary

YTTRIUM-, DYSPROSIUM-AND GADOLINIUM-DOPED NEODYMIUM SUPERCONDUCTORS RE(0. 1)ND(0.9)BA(2)CU(3)O(Y) EXHIBITED SHARP RESISTIVITY TRANSITIONS AT 92 K. DIRECT CURRENT SUSCEPTIBILITY MEASUREMENTS GAVE A COMMON CURVE WITH DIAMAGNETIC ONSETS AT 93 K AND TRANSITIONS COMPLETE AT ABOUT 50 K. OXYGEN CONTENTS DETERMINED BY INSTRUMENTAL NEUTRON ACTIVATION ANALYSIS, RANGED FROM 14.7 TO 15.1 MORE OR LESS 0.1 WEIGHT%. THIS RANGE OF OXYGEN CONTENT FOR YBA(2)CU(3)O(Y) GIVES ABOUT 50-60 K TRANSITIONS INMARKED CONTRAST TO THE 92 K VALUES FOR THE MATERIALS OF THIS STUDY.
