Charge minimization of refrigerant systems using natural refrigerants.

Summary
In this paper, an overview is given on the distribution of refrigerants over the compression refrigeration system. To minimize the environmental and safety aspects, a new air-cooled condenser was tested with respect to its lower refrigerant contents. A reduction of more than 20% of the contents was established. The design of the condenser is such, that the performance and stability might be negatively influenced. However, test results show that under normal conditions these influences do not emerge.
