Summary
Analyses the application conditions of IPL V / NPL V, points out the defects of IPL V / NPL V being used as an efficiency evaluation standard. It does not accurately represent a chiller plant's operating characteristics, it can be used to compare unloading characteristics of chillers only, and it can not be used for predicting the economic savings by adding variable-speed drives. Considers that high-load operating points are extremely important when looking at the real operating points of chillers , and to ensure optimal solutions economically and environmentally, it is important to use accurate energy analysis tools.
