CO2 MEASUREMENT FOR VENTILATION CONTROL AND OBTAINING SIGNATURE OF BUILDING DYNAMICS.

Author(s) : SHAVIT G.

Summary

MANY FACTORS AFFECT INDOOR AIR QUALITY, BUT LACK OF VENTILATION AIR IS THE MAIN CONTRIBUTOR. PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS FOR MAINTAINING SUFFICIENT VENTILATION AIR ARE IN THE PROCESS OF LEGISLATION. PRESENTLY THERE IS LIMITED INFORMATION ON THE DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF CO2 IN BUILDINGS. EXPERIMENTS IN AN OFFICE BUILDING MEASURED AND PLOTTED THE DRY-BULB TEMPERATURE, RELATIVE HUMIDITY, CO2 CONCENTRATION AND AIRFLOW RATE. CO2 PROFILES PROVIDE THE NECESSARY DATA TO DETERMINE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF BUILDINGS.
