Coabsorbent cycle technology for ammonia-water heat pumping applications.

Author(s) : STAICOVICI M. D.

Summary

Based on the coabsorbent cycles, recently introduced by the author (see the Bulletin of the IIR, reference 2007-1539), a particular new technology can be developed for efficient and feasible heat pumping applications. The technology could be very effective with respect to already known cycle improvement (e.g. the advanced absorption cycles) and to the elaboration of new ones, with high COPs. These issues are emphasized in the article, presenting some typical coabsorbent applications for heat pumps and refrigeration, with flow charts and theoretical model results, for hybrid and absorption cycles, operated by the ammonia/water.
