Summary
Refrigerant used for refrigeration system in the retailing industry has been changed from R-12 to R-502, R-22 and R-404a. Recently, from the viewpoint of global warming prevention, regulations on usage of HFC refrigerant have been strengthened, while the alternative to the natural working fluid has become a focal issue. Based on this, the authors introduce the current situation of natural working fluid as the system they should adopt for refrigeration system in the industry in future and its problems they are facing.
