THE SYSTEM IS A BOX WITHIN A BOX. THE FIRST IS THE REFRIGERATED ROOM CONTAINING THE PALLET RACK AND EVAPORATORS. THE SECOND IS A MORE OR LESS INSULATED ENCLOSURE LOCATED ON A FLOOR. THE WALLS OF THE FORMER, OF POLYURETHANE FOAM, CAN BE MOVED TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT. THE PALLETS ARE ACCESSIBLEBY VERTICAL ROWS. THE OPERATOR MOVES ON A MOBILE LIFT AND THE PACKS ARE CARRIED BY A SCOOP-CHAIN AND A CONVEYOR. INVESTMENT AND OPERATING COSTS ARE REDUCED BY ABOUT HALF.
