Summary
IN GENERAL COLD STORAGE DOORS ARE CONSIDERED AS SIMPLE, FIXED PARTS OF THE BUILDING STRUCTURE. HOWEVER, THEY ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE HANDLING SYSTEM. THEY SHOULD BE SUBJECTED TO PERIODICAL APPRAISAL AND BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED ECONOMICALLY. THREE FACTORS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED: ENERGY EFFICIENCY ; MAINTENANCE, WEAR AND REPAIR COSTS ; AGE, OBSOLESCENCE AND REPLACEMENT FACTORS.
