Combined chilled water thermal energy storage and fire protection storage systems.
Author(s) : HOLNESS G. V. R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Remotely located buildings may require large water storage for fire fighting use. Such storage tanks provide a mass of water which can be used for thermal storage and so reduce peak electricity demand for water chilling. Tanks need to be insulated and corrosion protected. Schemes must be agreed with the fire authority and insurers. Case history. A.R.T.
