Combined ejector-absorption cycle technology for gas-fired air conditioning.

Summary

The paper describes and evaluates the development so far of a heat powered refrigerator based on a novel combined ejector-absorption cycle. The experimental testing of a 3-kilowatt refrigerator designed to the novel concept is described and evaluated. The design and construction of a 30-kilowatt experimental refrigerator is described. Experimental data show that COP values of the novel cycle approach those of the double-effect absorption cycle, but potentially with a less complex and costly construction.
