Computer modelling and testing of low pressure ejectors applied to refrigeration cycles.

Author(s) : SMITH S. J., RIFFAT S. B., WU S., et al.

Summary

The paper shows that low-pressure ejectors are very geometry dependant and computational fluid dynamics can predict the performance of ejectors with good accuracy whether there is good positive entrainment or back pressure resulting in negative entrainment. It is concluded that computational fluid dynamics is a useful tool for design of low pressure ejectors. The benefits of which include a greatly increased cost effectiveness in ejector design, improve understanding of ejector characteristics and optimize performance.
