Summary

A gas energized desiccant cold-air and heating unit has been developed for commercial applications such as fast-food restaurants. The unit provides proper air conditioning without any refrigeration machinery, at a lower energy cost. The paper describes the desiccant cooling and heating system and presents an economical comparison with conventional air conditioning units or heat pumps.
