Summary

MICROELECTRONICS AND COMPUTERS PROVIDE NEW POSSIBILITIES IN THE COMPLEX CONTROL OF LARGE-SIZE COLD STORES. COMPUTER-AIDED REFRIGERATION PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN RATIONALIZATION, ENERGY FLOWS AND IN HANDLING THE LARGE AMOUNT OF COLLECTED DATA. USING A STANDARD TYPE COLD STORE, THE DESIGN OF A MICROELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR DATA COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND RECORDING IS PRESENTED ALONG WITH THE NECESSARY HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE. THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE EFFECTS OF REFRIGERATION AND THE ECONOMIES DERIVED.
