Summary

THE PAPER DESCRIBES A REFRIGERATION PLANT AS A MODEL FOR ESTABLISHING A CONTROL SYSTEM BASED ON COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY. THE DETAILS OF A SOLUTION ARE OUTLINED AND A COMPUTER-BASED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A COMPLETE REFRIGERATION PLANT IN OPERATION IS MENTIONED. BASED ON MEASURED COMPRESSOR EFFECT IT IS SHOWN THAT A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN ENERGY CONSUMPTION IS POSSIBLE AS A DIRECT RESULT OF OPTIMIZED OPERATION OF THE COMPRESSORS.
