Computer subroutines for rapid evaluation of natural refrigerants thermodynamic properties.

Summary

Modelisation of complex refrigerating installations needs computer routines for calculation of thermodynamic properties of refrigerants. These routines may be based on resolution of fundamental equation of state, which needs important computer performances. An original approach of this problem is carried out by curve-fitted equation with faster execution speed. Form of fitted equations is very important and must be wide enough to enclose many types of refrigerants. The paper proposes a method based on Cleland's equations in which adjustment coefficients for main natural refrigerants are given. The method is also extended to entropy calculation, enabling modelling of complex refrigerating installations with an accuracy adequate for many practical situations.
