COMPUTERIZED DESIGN OF COOLING COILS.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT A COMPUTERIZED METHOD FOR THE DIRECT EXPANSION EVAPORATORS USED IN AIR CONDITIONING. FOR GIVEN COOLING LOAD AND INLET CONDITIONS OF AIR AND REFRIGERANT, THE COMPUTERIZED PROGRAM EVALUATES THE DIMENSIONS OF THE UNIT AND ITS PERFORMANCE. FOR THE ESTIMATION OF PERFORMANCE THE FLUID FLOW IS DIVIDED INTO SEVERAL SECTIONS. IF THE PERFORMANCE DOES NOT MEET THE COOLING LOAD, THE UNIT IS CALCULATED AGAIN WITH OTHER DIMENSIONS TILL A PERFORMANCE IS SATISFACTORY.
