COMPUTERIZED SIMULATION OF A MONOSCREW COMPRESSOR.

SIMULATION PAR ORDINATEUR D'UN COMPRESSEUR MONOVIS.

Author(s) : YUAN Q. S., DUTTO T.

Summary

A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR DETERMINING THE PERFORMANCE OF SINGLE-SCREW COMPRESSORS IS DESCRIBED. THE MODEL IS BASED ON PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES AND GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS. THE COMPRESSION PROCESSUS IS NON-ISENTROPIC. THE INFLUENCES OF OIL, LIQUID INJECTION AND LEAKAGE ARE ALSO CONSIDERED. THE MODELLING RESULTS HAVE BEEN CHECKED AGAINST TEST DATA ON A HS 18 COMPRESSOR OPERATING WITH R114 AND SHOWN TO GIVE A GOOD AGREEMENT. A GEOMETRIC CALCULATION PROVES THE IMPORTANCE OF FLUTES NUMBER ON SWEPT VOLUME.
