Summary
This article is a Spanish translation of IIR Bulletin reference 2003-1746. The energy performance of working fluids for mechanical refrigeration is usually assessed by considering COPs. With respect to condensation heat transfer inside plain tubes, it is shown how a Penalty Factor can be associated with any refrigerant as an immediate evaluation criterion of its potential heat transfer performance in condensers.
