Summary

The authors studied the influence of the angle of inclination of a narrow tube on refrigerant condensation. The tube simulates the flow inside a corrugated plate exchanger used as a condenser. The refrigerant used is R134a. Experiments demonstrate that the optimal angle of inclination is 45°. The transfer coefficient is then twice as high as when using a vertical channel.
