Summary

MINE GAS IS A MIXTURE MAINLY CONTAINING METHANE AND AIR UP TO 50% IN VOLUME. SUCH A GAS, WHICH, MIXED WITH A FUEL GAS MAY RESULT IN HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS, IS OFTER EXHAUSTED BY VENTILATION. IT IS TREATED BY ABSORPTION AND/OR DISTILLATION, BUT, IN ADDITION TO ECONOMICS, THE FORMATION OF FUEL MIXTURES AND, CONSEQUENTLY, SAFETY MEASURES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED.
