Considerations on transcritical CO2 systems with low capacity.
Author(s) : TIEDEMANN T., SÜSS J., VEJE C.
Summary
This paper describes the implementation and performance measurements of light commercial refrigeration applications. The results are compared to baseline R134a systems and related to a steady state analysis. With a change from standard capillary tube R134a systems with condenser to a CO2 system with an expansion valve and a gas cooler, energy reductions up to 37% depending on application and conditions have been reached.
