A TABLE GIVES THE DISTRIBUTION OF THIS CONSUMPTION, SINGLING OUT THE GROUPS OF ANIMAL AND PLANT PRODUCTS, THE TONNAGES CONSUMED IN HOUSEHOLD (28,892 T) AND IN INSTITUTIONS (27,633 T), TO WHICH THE TONNAGES OF POULTRY, RABBIT AND GAME SHOULD BE ADDED, I.E. 30,800 AND 2,859 T, RESPECTIVELY, HENCE A TOTAL OF 90,184 T. THIS OVERALL TONNAGE WAS 32,811 T IN 1965. IN 1979, EACH INHABITANT CONSUMED 14.3 KG OF FROZEN FOODS (13.4 KG IN 1978), OF WHICH 4.9 KG OF FROZEN POULTRY (WHOLE OR CUT, RAW OR PRECOOKED), I.E. 34.2% OF OVERALL CONSUMPTION ; THIS PERCENTAGE WAS 17.5% FOR POTATO PRODUCTS AND 17% FOR VEGETABLES. BETWEEN 1965 AND 1979, THE ANNUAL CONSUMPTION OF ICE CREAM PER CAPITA INCREASED FROM 2.27 TO 6.6 L. G.G.
