Summary

AUTOMATIC CONTINUOUS FREEZING SYSTEMS WERE FIRST INTRODUCED TO THE JAPANESE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY IN 1970 UNDER A LICENSING AGREEMENT BETWEEN A JAPANESE AND AN AMERICAN COMPANY. SINCE THAT DATE THESE FREEZERS HAVE BEEN WIDELY ACCEPTED BY USERS AND PRODUCTIVITY HAS BEEN GREATLY IMPROVED THROUGH SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS. THE STRUCTURAL FEATURES AND OPERATION OF THESE FREEZERS ARE DESCRIBED.
