Summary

THERMODYNAMIC AND KINETIC STUDY OF THE CALCIUM CHLORIDE-AMMONIA-HEPTANOL SYSTEM IN THE HEAT PUMP CYCLE. TO OBTAIN REVERSIBLE CHEMICAL REACTION THE THEORETICAL EFFICIENCY IS NEARING THAT OF CARNOT. THE STAGES OF REACTION ARE CARRIED OUT IN PRESENCE OF AN INERT SOLVENT. THE SIMULTANEOUS HEAT AND MASS EXCHANGES ARE CONSIDERABLY IMPROVED AS COMPARED TO GAS-SOLID REACTIONS. THE KINETIC STUDY OF THE VARIOUS STAGES OF SYNTHESIS AND DECOMPOSITION OF THE COMPOUNDS HAS PERMITTED THE DIMENSIONING OF A 10 KW MACHINE FOR ROOM HEATING AND FOR FREEZING TO -40 DEG C.
