Summary
This study deals with the use of chemical heat-pumps in air-conditioning systems utilizing hot gases as an energy source. A propotype of a few kilowatts, heavily instrumented, was developed and used first, for demonstrating the feasibility of the system. Through identification with a model, it could also be used to characterise the primary element, meaning the reactor-exchanger, through a number of parameters, for an optimization which is based mainly on an energy criterion.
