Type of article: Article

Summary

The paper presents a low energy, high standard performing air conditioning system employing capacity controlling the cooling and dehumidifying processes to the refrigeration cycle. Both evaporator temperatures and secondary coolant temperatures are maximized at all operating conditions compatible with good performance. The author states that the key to the development of this system was the important principle in refrigeration "Work to the highest evaporator temperature that is feasible."
