Summary

IN THE PISTON COMPRESSOR, PROCESSES OCCURRING DURING THE REVOLUTION OF THE SHAFT ARE OBSERVED. THE MEASUREMENT OF THESE PROCESSES DEPENDS ON THE MOMENTARY POSITION OF THE CRANKSHAFT. THE RESULTS ARE RECORDED DIGITALLY. THE EFFECTIVE RECORDING TIME IS CONTROLLED BY THE OSCILLATIONS TRANSFERRED BY THE SHAFT. THE IMPULSION RATE IS LIMITED BY THE NUMBER OF DETECTORS LOCATED AROUND THE SHAFT. THE INTERVAL BETWEEN TWO IMPULSIONS IS INTERPOLATED ELECTRONICALLY SO THAT THE NUMBER OF MEASUREMENTS IS HIGHER THAN THAT OF DETECTORS. THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE ELECTRONIC INTERPOLATION PROCEDURE.
